Park your car outside the city and take the tram directly to AFAS Dome (formerly Sportpaleis) or Lotto Arena at Schijnpoortweg 119, Antwerp. There are four Park & Ride locations nearby, three of them are completely free for AFAS Dome and Lotto Arena visitors. Your concert ticket also doubles as a travel pass on De Lijn, so the tram ride costs you nothing extra.

How does Park & Ride to AFAS Dome and Lotto Arena work?

  1. Drive to a P+R location of your choice and park your car. Your license plate is automatically registered upon arrival.

  2. Take the tram toward metro stop Sport. Your concert ticket is valid as a travel pass on De Lijn. No need to validate it.

  3. Scan the QR code at the information desk inside AFAS Dome or Lotto Arena and enter your license plate. This links your parking visit to the event.

  4. Exit the P+R for free within 24 hours of arrival. Your license plate is automatically recognized at the exit.

  • The above only applies to P+R Luchtbal and P+R Merksem. At P+R Olympiade, you pay €1 per day, and parking at P+R Boechout is always free. In these locations, you do not need to scan a QR code.

  • Want a guaranteed spot? At P+R Luchtbal and P+R Merksem you can reserve in advance via parkeren.be. A reservation costs €1 + €1 parking fee on arrival. These costs are non-refundable.

Is Park & Ride free for visitors to AFAS Dome and Lotto Arena?

Yes. Parking is free at P+R Luchtbal, P+R Merksem, and P+R Boechout for visitors to AFAS Dome or Lotto Arena. P+R Olympiade costs €1 per day. At P+R Luchtbal and P+R Merksem, scan the QR code at the information desk inside AFAS Dome or Lotto Arena and enter your license plate to exit for free. This is not required at P+R Boechout.

Does my concert ticket work as a tram ticket?

Yes. Your AFAS Dome or Lotto Arena admission ticket is valid as a travel pass on all De Lijn metro, tram, and bus services in the Antwerp province — on the day of the show, for the round trip. No validation required.

Which Park & Ride is closest to AFAS Dome and Lotto Arena?

P+R Luchtbal and P+R Merksem are the closest options. They also offer the largest capacity and are completely free. Tram line 6 takes you from P+R Luchtbal to Sport metro stop (a 2-minute walk from the entrance) in about 20 minutes. From P+R Merksem, tram lines 2 or A3 take about 15 minutes.

Do I need to scan the QR code before or after the show?

It doesn’t matter. Scan the QR code at the information desk inside AFAS Dome or Lotto Arena upon arrival and enter your license plate. This links your parking session to the event. If you forget, your parking will not be recognized as free when exiting. Make sure to scan the QR code before leaving the venue.

Can I use Park & Ride if I’m coming from Linkeroever?

We do not recommend this. Due to tunnel renovations (until March 2027), trams are running between Linkeroever and Rechteroever. We recommend using P+R Luchtbal or P+R Merksem and continuing your journey by tram to AFAS Dome.
