Be•at installs free menstrual products in all venues

10.10.2025

Recently, dispensers with free menstrual products from Yoni have been made available in all be•at arenas (AFAS Dome, Lotto Arena, Forest National, and Trixxo Arena) and theaters (Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen, Capitole Gent, and Trixxo Theater Hasselt). With this step, be•at aims not only to provide practical support to visitors who unexpectedly get their period, but also to send a strong social message: menstruation should not be taboo, and access to hygiene products is a basic right.

“A concert or event should be a place where everyone feels free, safe, and welcome,” says Birgit Ketele, spokesperson for be•at. “By offering free tampons and pads, we want to contribute to a more inclusive experience and at the same time normalize the conversation around menstruation.”

Collaboration with Yoni: sustainable and transparent

For this initiative, be•at is working with Yoni, a brand known for its sustainable, organic, and chemical-free menstrual products. The choice for Yoni fits within be•at’s broader sustainability vision, where visitor comfort goes hand in hand with respect for people and the environment.

A step towards gender equality

With this action, be•at also wants to contribute to gender equality. Menstruation affects half the world’s population, but is still too often ignored in public spaces. By making menstrual products available in all venues—from concert halls to theaters—be•at recognizes the need for equal access to basic facilities.
